No Need to Worry With Public Health Insurance Option

No Need to Worry With Public Health Insurance Option
One need not worry to get into public health insurance option, now with the presence of American President Barak Obama. Barak Obama has made public health insurance plan one of the best current chance for U.S to become the last country to get universal health insurance. There are questions rising up as to why there were opponents and Republicans who opposed to such government funds.

The opponents said that public option would have a competitive advantage over private insurers making them hit out of the business. But they forget that the insurance companies would be able to compete with public option, if they adopt the consumer protections contained in health care reforms. Such protection don’t make discrimination for pre-existing conditions, no out-of pocket expenses, deductibles or co-pays, no sharing for care, no dropping of coverage when person becomes ill, extended coverage features and various others which are discriminated by private health insurance companies.

If these features are being offered by public companies the next question that comes in mind is about the profits. If you think about profits then private companies are making a high amount of profit as compared as to public companies. The consumer protections would definitely reduce the big profits the insurance companies would have otherwise got. Along with prices what matters to consumers is customer service. Many companies fear that many of their many of their consumers may lose out just due to their abusive practices of customer support.

If this is a problem then it is due to the private companies which have only one thing in mind to get high profit margins ahead of everything which makes American health care system dysfunctional.

So there is no thinking that private companies can’t compete with public health insurance if some companies think that way then it would in turn lead to their own downfall.

This reform has been awaited till August after which an opportunity to reconcile the health insurance reform bills to floor debate will be done. After this reform is seen the health care reform will become a reality.
