Bangalore: Has the Indian healthcare now become the part of American dream? The Cayman government for the set up of a health city in one of its islands has chosen Dr. Devi Shetty from India. He is a pioneer cardiac surgeon and his hospital, Narayana Hrudalaya, offers a low-cost, comprehensive medical care in India.

The distance of Cayman Island from Florida is just 52 minutes, whereas replica of health care city in Bangalore will be made there. This will give low-cost healthcare to the American patients, who otherwise find it expensive.

The government of Cayman has offered 100-acre plot to Narayana Hrudalaya and this venture will be a partnership between the two. “I made a presentation to the Cayman island parliament, after which they invited us to set this up. Cayman islands PM will be in Bangalore on December 17 to inaugurate our cancel hospital, “Dr. Shetty said.

In U.S. there are many acute ailments like hip replacement and elective bypass is not covered. The population of U.S. who does not have the health insurance can access this joint Commission International accredited hospital soon. The construction is to start before 2010 according to the reports.
